Meet Nicole

A graduate of Albuquerque Public Schools and a former President of Jackson Middle School, Nicole spent years inside the system she now works to improve. Her daughter Kennedy is a sophomore at La Cueva High School, and her son is a senior in the APD's Explorer program.

In 2015, her oldest son Jaydon was tragically killed in a senseless act of violence. From the worst day a mother can imagine, she chose to build something — co-founding a victims' advocacy organization that successfully lobbied New Mexico for stronger laws against violent crime.

That work brought her to the State House in 2024. In two years, she's done exactly what she promised: shown up, taken hard votes, worked across the aisle, and put neighbors before party. She's running for re-election because the work isn't finished.

Priorities

CRIME & Public Safety

Nicole will keep fighting for stronger penalties for repeat and violent juvenile offenders, an end to catch-and-release bail policies, and real accountability for those who terrorize our communities. New Mexicans deserve to feel safe filling up their cars at night and parking in their own driveways.

Healthcare

Nicole is working to lower medical malpractice costs, raise Medicaid reimbursement rates, and stop the provider exodus making it harder for New Mexicans to see a doctor. We can't recruit and retain physicians until we make it possible to practice medicine here — and we can't keep losing them to neighboring states.

Jobs & The Economy

Nicole supports tax policies that grow the economy, cut red tape for business owners and builders, and make New Mexico competitive with our neighbors. Solving crime, fixing schools, and unleashing business is how we build a state our kids want to stay in.

EDUCATION

Nicole trusts the teachers in our classrooms and the parents at home — not bureaucrats — to make the best decisions for our kids. She supports school choice so a child's education isn't determined by their zip code, and she'll keep advocating for a public education system that prepares every New Mexico student to succeed.

SECOND AMENDMENT

A proud NRA member and concealed carry permit holder, Nicole defends the right to keep and bear arms. She recently hosted a women-only firearms class — including for her daughter Kennedy — to empower women to protect themselves. The firearms used to kill her son were illegally obtained, because criminals don't follow gun laws. Disarming law-abiding citizens won't stop violent crime; it will only leave good people defenseless.

THE BORDER

Nicole supports ending New Mexico's sanctuary policies to stop the flow of fentanyl, human trafficking, and the migrant crisis spilling into our communities.
